OPERAS, ORATORIOS & CANTATAS
Welcome to the wonderful world of Baroque opera! We proudly present three of
Don Antonio Vivaldi's extravagant masterpieces: the opera “Giustino” ,
composed in 1724 for the Teatro Capranica in Rome; the opera “La Fida Ninfa”,
composed in 1732 for the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; and the oratorio “Juditha
Triumphans”, composed in 1716 for the glorious Venetian victory over the
Ottoman Empire: an allegory of Venice's triumph in the wars with the Turks.
Operas and cantatas are presented in theatrical or concert form in churches,
castles and small theatres, in collaboration with The Opera da Camera di
Venezia and The Vivaldi Opera Festival, both in Sweden and Venice.
